I just wanted to tell everybody that I recently discussed this dossier with my fellow teachers who supported the idea of encourage reading it to initiate further discussions in class.

Re:Teacher support - 2006/07/02 18:56 I do not agree! Just a quick scan through the list of contents, should make anyone aware that it contains to much non verified material to be promoted by teachers.

But, Marc. In some cases when the subjects does not atttract attention from the pupils I get better response by adressing rumours, myths and hearsays. My experience is that promoting research work around these alternatives to verify fact from fiction make the subjects more interesting prior to just force the pupils to believe whats written, no matter how true the source is.

Re:Teacher support - 2006/07/03 11:14 To increase interest in the subjects is the basic intention of the dossier, were the goal is to encourage exploring/research. So of course I support your initiative, Christina, which is also mentioned in the dossier adstract (I guess that's why you brought it up in the first place).
